What a wet year

This year we had tons of rain, landslide and floods. In Kuching everyday, without failure, we will get bombarded by rain. Last year wasn't like this, it was a bit warmer and much dryer. Most of the rivers are full and many areas got hit by landslides and floods.

At home we had a large problem as we dry our clothing by sun. For a temporary measure we used air-cons, but our clothes in and leave it running until morning to get it dry. Luckily the river next to our house didn't overflow, otherwise my neighbourhood would get badly affected.

The dry season's coming out in June so hopefully by then the rain would stop and the floods will recede, otherwise i would be forced to go to school in the raw.

Checkpoint exam

Aargh.... now's my time for the exam. At the end of the year i have to sit for my checkpoint exam, and it consits of three subjects: English, Science and Math. Hopefully for maths there's one paper which i can use the calculator.

Anyways, i'm about to get bombarded with exams. In year 11 there's gonna be IGCSE 'O' levels and then i think year 13 IGCSE 'A' levels. Oh well it's time to crack my skull out again. The exam isn't compulsory but I have to take it because i haven't any qualifications yet. I pulled out of national just in time to avoid UPSR. My parents are pressuring me to take UPSR and PMR this year. So all together i will probably have to sit for 3 public exams. Wonderful, my BM isn't that great.

Nestle exhibition

On saturday my family and I went to the nestle exhibition at Permata Exhibition hall. The building was run-down but the exhibition was great. They had free samples of mashed potatoes, ice-cream and best of all a chocolate fountain.

It was something like this. Then they gave you a raw wafer to dip in it. That tasted much better than the standard wrapped ones.

They also were cooking maggi mee and had tons of milo to spare. The graphics they used for the posters were great and easily undestandable.

Sadly though, they had it at the Permata Exhibition Hall which had smelly lifts and is a run-down building, and they are trying to promote they're nutritional, healthy products. They should have had it at the Spring or Boulevard where there were more people. Anyways it was a great exhibition. I wonder how the VIPs who declared it open stood through the stink.
